R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Rudy Garza of Adkins has been selected to 
participate in the Joint Admission Medical Program, achieving yet 
another significant step toward his goal of pursuing a career in 
medicine; and
	WHEREAS, JAMP was created by the 77th Legislature to support 
and encourage highly qualified, economically disadvantaged 
students in preparing for success in medical school; for two 
consecutive summers, selected students participate in academic 
enrichment programs at Texas medical schools; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Garza is currently an outstanding student at The 
University of Texas at San Antonio, where his intelligence, 
dedication, and hard work have earned him a well-deserved spot in 
this program; his achievements thus far are indicative of a young 
Texan whose future is indeed very bright; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Rudy Garza on his acceptance into
the Joint Admission Medical Program and extend to him sincere best 
wishes for great success in all his academic and professional 
endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Garza as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
