H.R. No. 1530
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and
meaningful accomplishments may comfort the family and friends of
Ezequiel Uresti, who died on February 13, 2005, at the age of 72;
and
WHEREAS, Born on June 2, 1932, this patriotic Texan bravely
served his fellow Americans in both the Vietnam and Korean Wars
during his first career with the U.S. Armed Forces; following his
retirement from the Air Force, Mr. Uresti embarked on a second
career and spent the next two decades as a valued civil servant; and
WHEREAS, A source of inspiration to all with whom he shared
the richness of his life, Ezequiel Uresti will long be remembered
for his strength of character and his commitment to his community,
state, and nation; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby pay special tribute to the life of Ezequiel
Uresti and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to
his wife of 45 years, Evangelina Diaz-Uresti; to his children,
Evelyn, Ezequiel, and Richard; to his five grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ezequiel
Uresti.
