H.R. No. 1539



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The McKinney High School girls' soccer team has won 
the 2005 Class 4A state championship, claiming the school's 
first-ever title in the sport and ending an outstanding season that 
its members and many supporters in the community won't soon forget; 
and
	WHEREAS, The Lionettes defeated four-time state champion 
Highland Park High School by a score of 1-0 to bring home the 
championship trophy and complete the season with a 21-2-4 record 
and a 21-game winning streak; and
	WHEREAS, Under the guidance of head coach Alex Pantarotto, 
the Lionettes demonstrated teamwork and grace under pressure in 
their quest to win the championship, and their efforts have earned 
them the respect and admiration of their classmates and myriad 
fans; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Coach Alex Pantarotto and the 
McKinney High School Lionettes on capturing the 2005 Class 4A 
girls' state soccer championship and extend to them best wishes for 
continued success, both on and off the field; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
