H.R. No. 1548
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Chase Cannon of San Antonio is receiving the Best of
Texas Award from the Texas Career and Technology Council on May 6,
2005; and
WHEREAS, The award recognizes outstanding achievements by
career and technology education students and others who have
dedicated their support to the program; and
WHEREAS, A student at Judson High School in Converse, Mr.
Cannon has already begun to fulfill his career goals by becoming
certified in CPR and as a nurse aide; he works at Autumn Winds
Retirement Lodge and serves as a mentor to many other students; a
natural leader, he is currently the area and local chapter
president of Health Occupations Students of America; and
WHEREAS, This hardworking young man excels in many
challenging courses, including physics, physiology, and anatomy;
he intends to pursue a career in the medical profession by studying
at Baylor University and hopes to practice in a hospital in San
Antonio; and
WHEREAS, With discipline and perseverance, Mr. Cannon is
working tirelessly to attain his goals, and he is an inspiration to
his fellow students and to his community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Chase Cannon on receiving the Best
of Texas Award from the Texas Career and Technology Council and
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and
achievement; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Cannon as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
