R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Betzaida Morales of San Antonio is receiving the Best of Texas Award from the Texas Career and Technology Council on May 6, 2005; and WHEREAS, The award recognizes outstanding achievements by career and technology education students and others who have dedicated their support to the program; and WHEREAS, A senior at Judson High School in Converse, Ms. Morales recently moved to the United States from Puerto Rico and is fluent in both Spanish and English; she excels in numerous challenging courses, including medical terminology, AP calculus, health science technology, and pharmacy tech; she is also senior vice president of Health Occupations Students of America and a member of the National Honor Society, and she has participated in the choir program and the science fair; and WHEREAS, This hardworking young woman volunteers at Northeast Methodist Hospital as part of her health science technology internship; she is a certified nurse aide and intends to pursue the study of medicine in college and become a physician; and WHEREAS, With an admirable sense of responsibility and perseverance, Ms. Morales is working tirelessly to attain her goals, and she is an inspiration to her fellow students and to her community; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Betzaida Morales on receiving the Best of Texas Award from the Texas Career and Technology Council and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and achievement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Morales as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
