R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lynda Freeman is retiring after more than two decades of service to the City of Arlington, and this occasion provides a fitting opportunity to recognize her many contributions; and WHEREAS, Ms. Freeman began her career in 1983 in the city manager's office, later serving with distinction as an administrative assistant under mayors Harold Patterson, Richard Greene, and Elzie Odom; and WHEREAS, In 2001, she became the city's social capital coordinator, a position in which she has organized volunteers for holiday parades and spearheaded a campaign to name a pavilion, monument, recreation area, and an aquatics center after Bad Konigshofen, Arlington's sister city; and WHEREAS, A consummate professional, Lynda Freeman is widely known and highly regarded for her integrity and commitment to courteously meeting the needs of every citizen, and she is indeed deserving of commendation for her immeasurable contributions to her community; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby commend Lynda Freeman on her years of service to the City of Arlington and extend to her best wishes for a happy and rewarding retirement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Freeman as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
