R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Daniel T. Serna of Arlington has been appointed to
the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents by Governor Rick
Perry; and
WHEREAS, A longtime civic leader, Mr. Serna has given his
time and energy to serve as a member of the Texas Public Finance
Authority, and he is a member of the boards of the Arlington Ethics
Commission, the Tarrant County Hospital District, the Arlington
Chamber Foundation, and the Arlington Library Foundation; he has
also served two terms on the Arlington City Council; and
WHEREAS, This 1979 graduate of Texas Tech is president and
founder of Serna and Company, P.C.; in all of his endeavors, he has
enjoyed the support of his wife, Susan, who also graduated from
Texas Tech University; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Serna has distinguished himself as a man of
immense ability and integrity, and his unwavering commitment to his
town and this state represents the very best in public service; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby honor Daniel T. Serna on his appointment to the
Texas Tech University System Board of Regents and extend to him
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Serna as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
