H.R. No. 1562


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sue Crouch is stepping down from the Crowley Independent School District Board of Trustees on May 7, 2005, bringing to a close an exceptional tenure that has spanned more than 30 years; and WHEREAS, Ms. Crouch began her service with the board in 1972, and over the past three decades, she served as the board's president, vice president, and secretary; and WHEREAS, In addition, she has served on a number of CISD committees, including the Special Education Co-operative Committee, the Campus Planning Committee, Project Positive, and the School Safety Committee; and WHEREAS, A life member of the PTA, she has lent her time and talents to teach local, council, and district workshops, been president of the Crowley and Tarrant County PTAs, and been a delegate to state and national conventions; and WHEREAS, Ms. Crouch has also served her community as an active member of the Crowley Lion's Club, the local chamber of commerce, and Trinity Episcopal Church; and WHEREAS, This outstanding Texan exemplifies the determination, vision, and compassion essential for the continued improvement of our public school system, and benefitted by contributions she has made, countless students are firmly set on the path to a bright future; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby commend Sue Crouch on her efforts in behalf of Crowley ISD and extend to her best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Crouch as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
