R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Rene "Rocky" U. Renteria of
Clint on January 21, 2005, at the age of 57, has brought a
profoundly felt loss to the family and many friends of this beloved
man; and
WHEREAS, Born on January 5, 1948, Mr. Renteria was a lifelong
resident of Clint and enjoyed a career as a civil servant that
spanned 17 years; following his retirement, he returned to work as a
scorekeeper with the Clint Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, Devoted husband, father, grandfather, and
godfather, Mr. Renteria will be greatly missed, but his memory will
live on in the hearts of those whose lives he so richly blessed;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby pay special tribute to the life of Rene "Rocky"
U. Renteria and that deepest sympathy be extended to the members of
his family: to his wife of 24 years, Armida; to his son, Victor; to
his daughter, Valerie and her husband, Ray; to his grandson,
DeAndre; to his goddaughters, Alex, Alyssa, and Amber; to his
brothers, Daniel, Eduardo, Freddy, Roberto, and Larry; to his
sisters, Sara, Elvira, Nina, and Lily; and to the other family
members and many friends of this much-loved man; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rene
Renteria.
