R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A half-century of marriage is most deserving of
special recognition, and on April 30, 2005, Kenneth and Marilyn
Sandlin of Greenville observed this significant milestone; and
WHEREAS, Joined in matrimony on April 30, 1955, Mr. and Mrs.
Sandlin have a rewarding marriage that serves to inspire their
family and many friends, and their lives have been richly blessed
with the addition of two children and seven grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Now enjoying well-deserved retirement, Mrs. Sandlin
was employed with Wesley Dental Associates, while Mr. Sandlin was a
truck driver; they are members of Wesley United Methodist Church;
and
WHEREAS, This devoted couple have nurtured a union built on a
foundation of mutual love, respect, and admiration, and it is a
distinct pleasure to honor them at this time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Kenneth and Marilyn Sandlin on the
joyous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Sandlin as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
