R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Bill and Delores McMurtre marked a special milestone 
in their lives together on April 23, 2005, when they celebrated 
their golden wedding anniversary; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony on April 23, 1955, in Vicksburg, 
Mississippi, Mr. and Mrs. McMurtre have been blessed with two 
children, and they have shared in the joy of welcoming eight 
grandchildren into their cherished family; he is retired from 
Greyhound Bus Lines, and she is retired from Safeway/Apple Tree 
Stores; and
	WHEREAS, This devoted couple have nurtured a strong bond of 
love for half a century, filling each other's lives with many happy 
times and cherished family memories, and it is a distinct pleasure 
to honor them for their enduring union; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Bill and Delores McMurtre on their 
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them warmest best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
