H.R. No. 1591
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The tragedy of young lives cut short by disease is a
sobering reminder of both the fragility and the preciousness of our
time on earth, and it is with great sorrow and deep humility that we
honor the memory of Krystal Leigh DelBart and her brother, Gage
Leighton DelBart, both of Alpine; and
WHEREAS, Homebound by illness, the children grew up under the
devoted care of their father, Joseph DelBart, and our sadness is
softened by the knowledge that they were well-loved and nurtured
throughout their lives; and
WHEREAS, While enduring tribulations that would challenge
many adults, Krystal and Gage exemplified grace and bravery in
their attitude toward their circumstances, and the brevity of their
lives only draws into brighter relief their moving courage; and
WHEREAS, Krystal passed away on March 11, 2005, at the age of
10, and Gage died on June 5, 2003, at the age of 7; both children
were members of Hillside Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, Though time may soften the blow of their passing, it
will never erase the memory of these two unique and irreplaceable
young people, and their spirits will continue to shine brightly in
the hearts and minds of all those fortunate enough to have known
them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby honor the memory of Krystal Leigh DelBart and
