R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Robert Eugene Stricklin, Jr., of Boy Scouts of 
America Troop 745 of San Antonio has attained the rank of Eagle 
Scout, and this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; 
and
	WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant 
honor, bestowed on only a fraction of those who enter the scouting 
movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding criteria, 
Mr. Stricklin earned the requisite 21 merit badges, including those 
requiring expertise in such diverse areas as scholarship, climbing, 
and cooking; moreover, he successfully completed an Eagle Scout 
project of benefit to his community; and
	WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Robert and Crystal 
Stricklin, this fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding 
leadership ability throughout his scouting career; in addition to 
earning the Arrow of Light Award, he has served his fellow scouts as 
troop guide and Order of the Arrow representative, winning their 
respect and admiration as he worked toward the highest rank that 
scouting offers; and
	WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Stricklin's dedication to excellence 
and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him 
worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and it is most appropriate 
that he be honored at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Robert Eugene Stricklin, Jr., on 
becoming an Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for 
continued success and happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Stricklin as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
