R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Members and friends of Grace Presbyterian Church of 
Plano are celebrating the church's 25th anniversary in 2005, and 
this significant milestone is truly deserving of special 
recognition; and
	WHEREAS, Grace Church was chartered in March 1980, with the 
Reverend Cleve C. Wheelus serving as the founding pastor; since 
1994, the Reverend Dr. Rolfe J. Granath has guided the 1,000-member 
church, which today offers full-time day care and a part-time 
preschool program through its Christian day school, while thriving 
mission and outreach ministries better the lives of countless 
people; and
	WHEREAS, Local projects include the Plano Children's Medical 
Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, Plano Community Charity, Inc., and 
food and clothing drives; additional outreach is provided through 
Campus Crusade for Christ, Student Venture, missionary work, and 
collaborations with groups such as the Lions Club; and
	WHEREAS, To help mark the important milestone of its 25th 
anniversary, Grace Presbyterian is helping to start a new church in 
northwest Frisco, Legacy Presbyterian Church, which will benefit 
from staff and lay leadership provided by Grace Church; and
	WHEREAS, Since its inception, Grace Presbyterian Church has 
sought to serve its church family and neighbors in the wider 
community, and it is most appropriate to take this opportunity to 
honor its members and leaders; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Grace Presbyterian Church of Plano 
on the 25th anniversary of its founding and extend to all involved 
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the church as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
