R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful moments and meaningful accomplishments may comfort the family and friends of Lewis Schwartz, who passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 24, 2005; and WHEREAS, Born on August 10, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio, Mr. Schwartz spent many years in The Woodlands, where he raised his family; he retired from a career in residential construction; and WHEREAS, A Texan at heart, he was an active member of his church and the Rotary Club, and enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and watching sports, but most especially Texas high school football games; and WHEREAS, Lewis Schwartz made lasting contributions in the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all those who were touched by his strong spirit and generous heart; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lewis Schwartz and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Sylvia Schwartz; to his son, Jonas E. Schwartz and his wife, Michelle; to his daughters, Elizabeth Schwartz and Susan Silva and her husband, Rich; to his grandsons, R. Lewie Silva and Edward Arthur Silva; to his sister, Mary Lou Bollinger; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lewis Schwartz.
