R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Megan Laws is graduating from Tom C. Clark High School in San Antonio and has been accepted to attend Texas Tech University this fall; and WHEREAS, After moving to Texas in 1996, Ms. Laws entered second grade at Howsman Elementary School and then went to Hobby Middle School; in addition to maintaining her grades, she participated in the student council, French Club, Spanish Club, Interact, and Friends Having Fun; moreover, she has also been very active in her community through her involvement in Young Life, Trinity Baptist Youth Group, Habitat for Humanity, and hospital volunteer activities; and WHEREAS, In continuing her education at Texas Tech, Ms. Laws will undoubtedly build on her record of hard work and commitment to achieving her goals, and it is a pleasure to join her proud family and friends in saluting her and wishing her the best of luck; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Megan Laws on graduating from Tom C. Clark High School and extend to her best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Laws as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
