R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to 
honor the Alief Super Neighborhood Council for its many significant 
contributions to the community; and
	WHEREAS, Members of this association have greatly advanced 
the quality of life in West Houston; they have worked diligently to 
address the issues and concerns that face local residents and 
helped to build a more unified and informed citizenry; and
	WHEREAS, Since the organization's establishment, these 
esteemed Texans have organized a host of community-building 
projects and taken part in numerous worthy initiatives such as 
planting trees, removing graffiti, and contributing to local health 
fairs; and
	WHEREAS, Headed by chairman Daniel Hrna, the council includes 
vice chair Barbara Quattro, secretary Henry Williams, treasurer 
Bonnie Su, and members Donald Perkins, Ana Garza-Ibarra, Marie Lee, 
Michael Manning, Ray Moon, Karen North, Elsie Smith, Johnny Tates, 
Hubert Vo, Dave Williams, Paul Fikac, Karen Loper, Claudia Lozano, 
Rosemary McGreer, Mike Rippert, Paula Smith, Vivian Sugar, and 
Sharon Swanson; and
	WHEREAS, The Alief Super Neighborhood Council is helping to 
make West Houston a better place in which to live and raise a 
family, and it is a pleasure to honor this exemplary organization at 
this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby honor all those associated with the Alief Super 
Neighborhood Council and extend to them sincere best wishes for 
continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Alief Super Neighborhood Council as an expression 
of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
