H.R. No. 1656



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Don Briscoe of Beaumont was accorded a great honor  
in early 2005, when he was named to the Pinnacle Club by Clear 
Channel Communications, Inc.; and
	WHEREAS, A senior account executive, Mr. Briscoe was one of 
the conglomerate's top sales performers in the nation for 2004, 
earning him entrance to a prestigious group composed of the peak 
sales professionals from each of Clear Channel's operating 
divisions, including radio, entertainment, outdoor, and 
television; and
	WHEREAS, This accomplished businessman first joined the 
corporation in 1998, and since that time he has exceeded his sales 
goal for 37 consecutive months; in addition, the ratings for his 
local news talk broadcast on AM 560 KLVI have recently tripled; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Briscoe is a graduate of Northern State 
University, where he also taught sales and marketing, advertising, 
business, and speech; blessed with an entrepreneurial spirit, he 
has owned a fast-food restaurant, a professional fishing guide 
service, and a production company, and has also published a book 
entitled Practical Advertising for the Independent Retailer; and
	WHEREAS, By excelling in his profession, Mr. Briscoe has won 
for himself the respect and admiration of his peers, and he merits 
special recognition; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Don Briscoe on being named to the 
Pinnacle Club by Clear Channel Communications, Inc., and extend to 
him best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Briscoe as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
