R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Since his birth on May 21, 2004, Mikail Ashvin 
Wijesekera of Houston has brought great joy into the lives of his 
mother, Fazila Issa, and his father, S. Harindra Wijesekera, and it 
is fitting to mark the anniversary of his birth; and
	WHEREAS, This darling baby boy weighed in at six pounds, 10 
ounces, and measured 21 inches in length when he was happily 
welcomed into the world at The Woman's Hospital of Texas in the 
Bayou City; and
	WHEREAS, Since his arrival, Mikail Ashvin has been a 
continual source of delight to his devoted circle of admirers, and 
he has brought boundless happiness to his maternal grandparents, 
Mohamed and Mariam Issa, and his paternal grandparents, Ananda and 
Malika Wijesekera; and
	 WHEREAS, The birth of a child is always a miraculous event, 
and it is a distinct pleasure to honor this charming young lad on 
his first birthday; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby officially honor Mikail Ashvin Wijesekera on the 
significant occasion of his first birthday and extend 
congratulations to his parents, Fazila Issa and S. Harindra 
Wijesekera on the birth of their beloved son; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mikail Ashvin Wijesekera and his parents as an 
expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
