H.R. No. 1710



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Kristen Blank has rendered exemplary service as a 
legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Debbie 
Riddle throughout the 79th Legislative Session; and
	WHEREAS, A former senate messenger and house committee 
intern, Ms. Blank has earned the title "Best Hire Ever" from senior 
staffers, a testament to her exceptional abilities, her winning 
personality, and her distinctive sense of humor; and
	WHEREAS, Charged with maintaining and updating 
Representative Riddle's ever-changing schedule, Ms. Blank is also 
usually the first staffer seen by people entering the office and her 
friendly and welcoming manner has helped to put many a constituent 
at ease as they visit the seat of Texas government; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Blank has also gained notoriety as the 
unofficial publicist for Legislative Director Gina Chung; she never 
fails to alert fellow staffers about events taking place in the 
office a mere two to three feet away, although a failure to respond 
with a timely reply to the RSVP could result in an immediate 
suspension from "the list"; and
	WHEREAS, Cheerful, helpful, and witty are just a few of the 
adjectives used to describe this popular staff member, whose 
significant contributions throughout the legislative session have 
been of great benefit to Representative Riddle and the constituents 
of House District 150; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend Kristen Blank for her outstanding tenure 
as a legislative assistant in the office of State Representative 
Debbie Riddle; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Blank as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
