H.R. No. 1722
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Coach Tim Marzuola of Highland Park High School,
whose team recently won its fourth state championship in seven
years, has been selected as the 2005 UIL State Wrestling Coach of
the Year; and
WHEREAS, In his 23rd year with the Highland Park wrestling
program, Coach Marzuola has led his young charges through a
phenomenal 2004-2005 season that included posting a 27-2 dual
record, winning the Texas State Duals for the sixth time, and
claiming seven victories in eight tournaments; this spectacular
year extends a tremendous run that includes three previous state
titles and two second-place finishes since 1999; and
WHEREAS, Demonstrating expertise and an unwavering
commitment to excellence, Coach Marzuola has consistently produced
championship-quality athletes, and his years of dedication and hard
work have resulted in Highland Park High School having one of the
premier wrestling programs in the Lone Star State; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby honor Coach Tim Marzuola on being named the 2005
UIL State Wrestling Coach of the Year and extend to him best wishes
for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Coach Marzuola as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
