R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The passing of Refugio L. Sanchez of Socorro on 
April 30, 2005, has brought a profound loss to the family and many 
friends of this beloved Texan; and
	WHEREAS, Mrs. Sanchez was the devoted wife of the late Jesus 
H. Sanchez, the loving mother of six cherished children, and the 
doting grandmother of a host of grandchildren and 
great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Socorro, she was a faithful 
congregant of the town's Catholic Church; and
	WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Cucita Sanchez 
will remember her warmth and generosity, as well as her love of her 
family; while she will be greatly missed, her legacy will live on in 
the hearts of those whose lives she so richly blessed; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby pay special tribute to the life of Refugio L. 
Sanchez and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family:  
to her children and their spouses, Gilbert and Cathy Sanchez, Ruben 
and Rosalinda T. Sanchez, David and Lynn Sanchez, Sylvester 
Sanchez, Eleanor S. and Tony Hidalgo, and Flora S. and Mont Fyffe, 
Jr.; to her brothers, Rafael and Daniel Lara; to her sisters, Elfida 
Canales, Isabel Solis, and Clara Levario; to her 17 grandchildren; 
to her six great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and many 
friends; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of 
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Refugio L. 
Sanchez.
