R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Raul Garza of Kingsville is an esteemed educator and 
administrator who has served the students of the Kingsville 
Independent School District with dedication and passion, inspiring 
countless young men and women to succeed; and
	WHEREAS, Also a valued member of his community, Mr. Garza has 
served on the Kingsville ISD Board of Trustees and lent his time and 
talents to meet the needs of local elderly citizens, a contribution 
that earned him the Outstanding Volunteer Award from the Corpus 
Christi Caller Times; and
	WHEREAS, For two decades, he also has served his country with 
honor as a member of the U.S. Naval Reserve, where he has attained 
the rank of chief radioman; and
	 WHEREAS, A teacher who can challenge and encourage his 
students is indeed a Texas treasure; Mr. Garza exemplifies the 
highest ideals of the teaching profession, and the students of 
Kingsville continue to reap the benefits of his immense abilities 
and experience; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby honor Raul Garza for his commendable career as 
an educator and his many contributions in behalf of Kingsville 
students; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Garza as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
