H.R. No. 1768
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends deeply mourned the untimely
passing of Rudy F. Rodriguez on July 24, 2004, at the age of 47; and
WHEREAS, A native of Alpine, where he was born on September 8,
1956, Mr. Rodriguez had been a registered nurse at Val Verde
Regional Medical Center for 24 years; he was a member of St.
Joseph's Catholic Church and the American GI Forum; and
WHEREAS, Treasured by his circle of family and friends, Rudy
Rodriguez left this earth much too soon, but he made a positive
impact in the lives of many people, and he will long be remembered
for his generous heart; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Rudy F. Rodriguez and
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
Cruz Rodriguez; to his children, Nanca, Rudy Allison, and Lori Ann
Rodriguez; to his brothers, Ruben and Jesus Rodriguez; to his
sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria Garcia and her husband,
Lorenzo, Consuelo Cordova, and Nilvia Rodriguez-Yarbrough and her
husband, Dwight; and to his many other relatives and friends; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rudy F.
Rodriguez.
