R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Joyce Miles retired from her post at Sul Ross State 
University Wildenthal Memorial Library on January 31, 2005, drawing 
to a close a notable career with the institution that spanned 18 
years; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Miles joined the college's staff as a secretary 
in 1986; her title changed to administrative secretary but her 
commitment to the students, faculty, and staff remained constant; 
and
	WHEREAS, Called on to perform a wide variety of tasks during 
her tenure with the school, she handled all of her duties with a 
commendable attention to detail, and her enjoyment of people was 
always evident; and
	WHEREAS, Joyce Miles made noteworthy contributions to Sul 
Ross State University and its Wildenthal Memorial Library, and she 
is truly worthy of special praise and recognition on the occasion of 
her retirement; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend Joyce Miles on her dedicated service to 
Sul Ross State University and extend to her best wishes for a happy 
and rewarding retirement; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Miles as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
