R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, For the past five years, Pam Conley has rendered
exceptional public service to the community of Bedford as a member
of its city council; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure, Ms. Conley has served her
fellow citizens with distinction, and her accomplishments on the
council have significantly contributed to the betterment of the
community; and
WHEREAS, This former small business owner and 27-year
resident of Bedford has also benefited the area through her
involvement with a host of civic organizations; appointed by the
governor to the State Advisory for Citizen Corps, Ms. Conley has
given of her time and talents to the Bedford Citizen Corps Council
and the Tarrant County Citizen Corps Council; she is a graduate of
the Citizens Fire Academy and the Citizens Police Academy, which
she has further served as alumni association president and
volunteer program coordinator; moreover, this esteemed Texan
chaired the Bedford Police Training Advisory Committee and served
as a liaison to the Bedford Hotel/Motel Association and the Park
Board; and
WHEREAS, Pam Conley's commitment to the citizens of Bedford
has been an inspiration to all those with whom she has worked, and
as she looks back on her time as a member of the Bedford City
Council, she may indeed take tremendous pride in her many
achievements; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Pam Conley for her service as a member of
the Bedford City Council and extend to her sincere best wishes for
the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Conley as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
