H.R. No. 1779
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, After 12 years of exemplary service, Ron May of
Bedford is retiring from his position as a board member of
Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD in May 2005; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed community leader earned his
bachelor's degree from West Texas State University, and he is
currently a home builder for Grande Custom Home; he was elected to
the school board in 1993, and during his tenure, has served as
president and vice president; and
WHEREAS, Mr. May further distinguished himself by securing a
position on the board of trustees of the Texas Association of School
Boards and has participated in the organization's delegate assembly
and school board advocacy network; and
WHEREAS, The vitality of our state's schools depends on the
commitment of individuals like Ron May, and it is a privilege to
honor him on the occasion of his retirement; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Ron May for his exceptional tenure with
Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD and extend to him sincere best wishes for
the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. May as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
