R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The engineering firm of Klotz Associates, Inc., 
marked 20 years of distinction in the field of design on May 12, 
2005; and
	WHEREAS, Founded in Houston by D. Wayne Klotz, P.E., the 
company has a list of notable clients, including Texas A&M 
University, the Texas Department of Transportation, Texas Parks and 
Wildlife, Capital Metro, and the City of Houston; and
	WHEREAS, The firm's staff includes a dedicated team of 90 
professional planners and engineers, who possess a range of 
distinctive skills and abilities, and the company's commitment to 
excellence is aptly reflected in the many honors that it has been 
accorded; recently, the group was recognized on The Zweig Letter
Hot Firm 2004 list of the 100 fastest growing architectural, 
engineering, planning, and environmental consulting firms in the 
country; and
	WHEREAS, The economic prosperity of this state depends on 
independent businesses such as Klotz Associates, Inc., that employ 
Texans and make important contributions to their communities, and 
it is appropriate to take this opportunity to recognize this 
notable Houston engineering firm; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate the owners and staff of Klotz 
Associates, Inc., on the firm's 20th anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Klotz Associates, Inc., as an expression of high 
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
