H.R. No. 1854



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Emelia Ramirez has deservedly earned the Socorro 
High School Naval Junior ROTC Top Dawg award; and
	WHEREAS, A member of the NJROTC throughout her high school 
career, Ms. Ramirez has demonstrated exceptional leadership, 
poise, and skill as commander of the Color Guard; in that capacity, 
she has been responsible for the training, scheduling, and 
management of 25 cadets, and her outstanding guidance has been a 
tremendous benefit to her peers and teachers alike; and
	WHEREAS, This esteemed young woman has worked her way up to 
earn the rank of cadet lieutenant commander and aspires to one day 
join the United States armed forces; and
	WHEREAS, For her sincere dedication and ability, Emily 
Ramirez has earned the respect and admiration of all who know her, 
and it is a pleasure to pay tribute to her at this time; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Emelia Ramirez on earning the 
Socorro High School Naval Junior ROTC Top Dawg award and extend to 
her sincere best wishes for a happy and successful future; and, be 
it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Ramirez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
