                                                                  H.R. No. 1901



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The R Club of Houston is celebrating its 10th 
anniversary on May 23, 2005; and
	WHEREAS, Since its founding in 1995, the R Club was organized 
to help find positive solutions to important community issues by 
promoting the conservative principles of personal and fiscal 
responsibility in public service; and
	WHEREAS, Activities of the club facilitate awareness of 
issues among members and others, encourage public service by 
qualified individuals, and ensure that its members' views on local 
issues are represented at all levels of government; and
	WHEREAS, The members of the R Club have consistently worked 
hard for the principles in which they believe, and their efforts 
have increased political education and dialogue across the Bayou 
City; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate the R Club on its 10th anniversary 
and extend best wishes to its members for a memorable celebration; 
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the R Club as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
