R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Shelbi McNew is marking a special milestone in her 
life on May 26, 2005, when she graduates from the Texas School for 
the Deaf (TSD) in Austin; and
	WHEREAS, A student at TSD since the eighth grade, Ms. McNew is 
an active participant in the life of the school, and in addition to 
coordinating a number of fund-raising events, she was also a 
contestant in the Miss TSD Pageant during her sophomore year; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. McNew's sociability and friendliness, greatly 
prized by all who know her, will no doubt be assets in her planned 
career as a massage therapist, and we join her friends and family in 
applauding her accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby honor Shelbi McNew on the occasion of her 
graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to her 
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. McNew as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
