R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Uchenna and Joyce Ekemezie of Houston have won The 
Amazing Race 7, marking a significant achievement that all Texans 
could enjoy; and
	WHEREAS, A CBS reality-based television show, The Amazing 
Race features 11 teams of two racing throughout the world to 
accomplish missions before others as they compete for a $1 million 
grand prize; and
	WHEREAS, During their adventure, Mr. and Mrs. Ekemezie shared 
an unselfish and supportive bond that enabled them to channel all 
their competitive energies toward the common aim of besting other 
competitors; and
	WHEREAS, A willingness to sacrifice ego and pride to achieve 
a significant prize enabled this goal-oriented husband and wife 
team to work as one, maintaining courage in the face of unforeseen 
events, overcoming daunting obstacles, and ultimately reveling in 
victory; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Ekemezie are a remarkable couple who 
accepted both the misfortune and good fortune they encountered 
during their travels with dignity and grace, while bringing joy to 
the many people who witnessed their journey and rejoiced in their 
accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Uchenna and Joyce Ekemezie on 
winning The Amazing Race 7 and extend to them sincere best wishes 
for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Ekemezies as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
