H.R. No. 1942



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Plano West High School lacrosse team won the 
Division II state championship title, and this achievement truly 
merits special recognition; and
	WHEREAS, Boasting a 15-3-0 season record, Plano West rallied 
from a 6-2 first-period deficit for a 13-12 victory over Plano East 
to claim the coveted crown; this stellar win gave Plano West its 
first state lacrosse championship and allowed the lacrosse team to 
join the school's tennis and hockey teams as 2004-2005 state 
champions; and
	WHEREAS, The outstanding student-athletes from Plano West 
have demonstrated the skill and physical stamina of true champions, 
and they may take great pride in their impressive success; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate the Plano West lacrosse team on 
winning the Division II state championship crown and extend to its 
players and coaches best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
