R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Every Texan deserves access to quality health care, 
and those institutions that bring the latest advancements in modern 
medicine to the people of the Lone Star State perform an invaluable 
public service; and
	WHEREAS, The opening of the Texas Tech Physicians East Clinic 
in Tornillo has brought knowledgeable physicians into the heart of 
this vibrant El Paso County community, and its presence there 
promises to greatly enhance area residents' quality of life; and
	WHEREAS, The clinic's able staff includes Dr. Oscar Blanc, 
Dr. Arturo Hernandez, and Dr. Irma Medina, who, in addition to being 
dedicated practitioners of the healing arts, are native El Pasoans; 
and
	WHEREAS, Among the features of the new clinic are 14 
examination rooms and a conference room, where doctors may conduct 
seminars on health-related issues of potential interest to the 
community; and
	WHEREAS, The addition of a health care facility to a 
community is indeed occasion for celebration, and we join the 
residents of Tornillo in welcoming their newest neighbors to the 
area; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby commemorate the opening of the Texas Tech 
Physicians East Clinic and extend sincere best wishes to the 
members of its dedicated staff for great success with their 
important work.
