R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories of Juana Aguilar Rubio of Leakey who died on May 10, 2005, at the age of 86; and WHEREAS, Born on March 30, 1919, in Eagle Pass, Mrs. Rubio was a beloved matriarch of a large and supportive family with whom she shared many happy times and cherished memories; and WHEREAS, The widow of Santos Rubio, she played a positive role in the lives of her loved ones, and while she is deeply missed, her spirit will be kept alive in their hearts; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Juana Aguilar Rubio and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her daughters, Maria Saiz and Herminia Martinez and her husband, Ben; to her sons, Nick Rubio and his wife, Susie, Sam Rubio and his wife, Helen, Manuel Rubio and his wife, Petra, Julian Rubio and his wife, Donna, Jesus Rubio, Jabriel Rubio and his wife, Dawnel, George Rubio, Paul Rubio and his wife, Bella, and Tim Rubio; to her sisters, Petra Martinez, Marta Coronado and her husband, Raul, and Victoria Zepeda; to her 36 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; and to all who mourn her passing; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Juana Aguilar Rubio.
