R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Wanda Walker is retiring from her position on the 
board of trustees of the Burleson Independent School District, 
providing a fitting opportunity to recognize her hard work and 
commitment during her 32 years in education; and
	WHEREAS, This esteemed community leader has served Burleson 
ISD as both a math instructor and assistant principal of Burleson 
High School; she previously was a teacher in Copperas Cove, 
Penelope, and Fort Worth; and
	WHEREAS, Elected to the board of Burleson ISD in 1996, Ms. 
Walker has worked tirelessly for the community's children, making 
their well-being a top priority in her life; and
	WHEREAS, Wanda Walker's many years of dedication to the needs 
of the young people of Texas are truly outstanding, and her 
strength, warmth, and humanity will surely continue to inspire 
others as she begins this next chapter of her life; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby honor Wanda Walker for her exceptional 
contributions in behalf of the students of Burleson ISD and extend 
to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Walker as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
