R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Richard Brandon Kincaid is an outstanding Texan who truly exemplifies the finest qualities of youth today; and WHEREAS, A 2005 distinguished achievement graduate of North Crowley High School (NCHS) in Fort Worth, Mr. Kincaid has excelled academically and has balanced his many responsibilities with membership in a host of organizations; Future Business Leaders of America, the National Poet's Society, the French Club, the Science Club, and the NCHS newspaper and yearbook have all benefited from his contributions; and WHEREAS, A three-year National Honor Society member, he has received many well-deserved accolades for his outstanding schoolwork, including UIL awards for writing, a journalism award, and the President's and Principal's Awards; and WHEREAS, A gifted thespian, musician, and singer, he participated in band and choir and in several theatrical productions, and has been acknowledged as a Betty Buckley Nominee for best supporting actor and as a two-time Music Merit Scholar; and WHEREAS, Mr. Kincaid is also active in the Boy Scouts of America; he was invited to attend the 2002 International Scottish Jamborrette, and in 2004, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the organization; and WHEREAS, In addition to his many scholastic and extracurricular pursuits, he has lent his time to serve such worthy initiatives as the Fort Worth Homeless Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, and the YMCA, to name but a few; and WHEREAS, Richard Kincaid has demonstrated exceptional wisdom, initiative, and maturity in successfully achieving an impressive variety of academic and civic goals, and he is indeed deserving of special recognition at this time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby honor Richard Brandon Kincaid for his many accomplishments and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Kincaid as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
