H.R. No. 2042


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Members of the Northline Terrace Civic Club in Houston have made invaluable contributions to the citizens of their neighborhood, creating a more vibrant community for the enjoyment of all; and WHEREAS, Under the skilled leadership of president Pete Calderon, club members have greatly advanced the quality of life in the Northline Terrace subdivision and worked diligently to address the concerns that face area residents; and WHEREAS, The organization was originally established in 1964 and was revitalized in 2000 by Maryann and Ralph Bullard with the assistance of Foster Wooten, and it is currently affiliated with the Greater Greenspoint Chamber of Commerce; members work closely with local officials and have made great strides in helping Northline Terrace remain a safe and attractive neighborhood and keeping residents informed of area news and issues; and WHEREAS, The Northline Terrace Civic Club is helping to make this north Houston neighborhood a better place in which to live and raise a family, and, in so doing, has fostered a genuine sense of community spirit and pride; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby commend the Northline Terrace Civic Club for its many accomplishments in behalf of area residents and extend to its members sincere best wishes for continued achievement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the club as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
