H.R. No. 2067


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Mr. Lurendran Hubbard has been enrolled at the Texas School for the Deaf since 2002, where he has been active in football, basketball, and track; he has also received recognition as the school's Most Valuable Basketball Player for the last three years; and WHEREAS, Mr. Hubbard has been recognized as a First Team All-American and First Team All-District football and basketball player and has also received honorable mention recognition as an All-State defensive football player; and WHEREAS, Mr. Hubbard will graduate from the Texas School for the Deaf on May 26, 2005, and plans to attend the Southwest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf in Big Spring, Texas; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby recognize and congratulate Mr. Lurendran Hubbard on his scholastic and athletic accomplishments; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for him as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
