R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Bobbie Lois Person of Seagoville has embraced life's rewards and challenges with enthusiasm and grace, and in doing so she has set an example to which all can aspire; and WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of the Lone Star State, Mrs. Person was born in Kaufman County on November 30, 1913; she attended school in the community of Warsaw, but left at the age of 14 to obtain a full-time job; and WHEREAS, She married and had a son, and soon circumstances made her a single mother, but determination and hard work made her a successful provider; and WHEREAS, When this notable woman met "the most wonderful man in the world," Morrse Altus Person, she knew she had found her soul mate; the two shared more than six decades together before his passing, and their union was blessed with four children; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Person is now the matriarch of a loving family that has grown to include 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Still active and vibrant, she enjoys the Seagoville Senior Center and the extraordinary entertainment provided by that facility; and WHEREAS, For 91 years, Mrs. Person has enriched the lives of countless Texans with her warmth and wisdom, and she is cherished by her family and friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Bobbie Lois Person on 91 years of life well lived and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mrs. Person as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
