R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Wanda Guzman of O'Donnell Elementary School in 
Fabens has been named the school's 2004-2005 Teacher of the Year; 
and
	WHEREAS, The prestigious Teacher of the Year awards are 
presented to educators who inspire in their students a love of 
learning, setting them on the path to a bright and rewarding future; 
and
	WHEREAS, A bilingual education teacher for Fabens ISD since 
1993, Ms. Guzman is a member of the Texas Council of Elementary 
Sciences and National Association of Bilingual Educators; she has 
provided leadership and mentoring to new teachers through her work 
on the Dual Language Committee, her participation in Tx Bess, and 
her services as a presenter for bilingual strategies; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Guzman has demonstrated unwavering commitment 
to the students of O'Donnell Elementary School, and this important 
legacy of hard work and dedication is an example to us all; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Wanda Guzman on receiving the 
O'Donnell Elementary School 2004-2005 Teacher of the Year award and 
extend to her best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Guzman as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
