R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Pilar Alexandra Rivera is celebrating a significant milestone in her life in 2005 with her graduation from The University of Texas at El Paso; and WHEREAS, Ms. Rivera can take particular pride in her achievement, for she is graduating with honors in microbiology with a minor in chemistry; and WHEREAS, A caring young woman with special concern for children and those who are less fortunate, Ms. Rivera plans to pursue a career that will aid her fellowman; to that end, she is attending Baylor College of Medicine on a full scholarship and hopes to earn a doctorate in molecular cell biology en route to a career in cancer research; and WHEREAS, Graduating with honors requires an impressive level of commitment and hard work, and through her achievements to date, Pilar Rivera has already proven that she has the drive and enthusiasm to make this worthy goal a reality; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Pilar Alexandra Rivera on her graduation from The University of Texas at El Paso and extend to her best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Rivera as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
