R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Rhonda Lacy of Midland is retiring from Fannin 
Elementary School, drawing to a close an outstanding 32-year career 
in education; and
	WHEREAS, A graduate of Baylor University and former graduate 
student at North Texas University, Ms. Lacy taught in Dallas and at 
Travis Elementary in Midland before transferring to Fannin 
Elementary School, where for the past 26 years she has played an 
influential role in the lives of countless young Texans; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Lacy is a member of the First Baptist Church, and 
she is involved in the choir, teaches Sunday school, and has 
participated in mission trips to 12 countries; and
	WHEREAS, Throughout her teaching career, Ms. Lacy has served 
the Midland community with integrity and dedication, earning the 
lasting respect and affection of colleagues, students, and parents, 
and it is most appropriate to take this opportunity to recognize her 
for her outstanding contributions in behalf of her students and 
their families; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Rhonda Lacy on her retirement from 
Fannin Elementary School and extend to her best wishes for the 
future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Lacy as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
