H.R. No. 2148


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, December 18, 2004, was indeed a special day for Eliseo Garza, Jr., as it marked his graduation from The University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg with a master's degree in public administration; and WHEREAS, Mr. Garza's achievement is all the more noteworthy in that he accomplished it in the space of one year while maintaining a grade point average of 3.9; and WHEREAS, A former elementary school teacher in the La Joya Independent School District, Mr. Garza has worked in the office of State Representative Jim Solis during the 79th Legislative Session, and the practical experience he has gained in this endeavor has no doubt complemented his academic training; and WHEREAS, Throughout his life, Mr. Garza has drawn great strength and support from his loving and close-knit family, which includes his parents, Eliseo and Maria Garza, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mari and Victor Molina, Maggie and Roy Cazares, Nellie and Juan Cantu, Gladys Garza, Noemi Garza, Ruth Garza, and Esther and Slade Garza-Price, and his beloved nieces, Alexandra and Gabriella Baez; and WHEREAS, In achieving his educational goals, Mr. Garza has demonstrated dedication and intelligence that will serve him well in the years to come, and all those who know him look forward to watching as a career of great promise unfolds; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Eliseo Garza, Jr., on his graduation from The University of Texas-Pan American and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Garza as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
