R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Since 1991, special education teacher Elizabeth Garza of Edinburg has dedicated her considerable talent and compassion to helping students with disabilities, particularly the visually impaired; and WHEREAS, Ms. Garza is currently pursuing an educational diagnostician graduate degree from her alma mater, The University of Texas--Pan American, from which she earned a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies in 1991; and WHEREAS, The devoted mother of two daughters, Alexandra and Gabriella, Ms. Garza enjoys the boundless love and support of her large, close-knit family, including her parents, Eliseo and Maria Garza, her brother, Eliseo Garza, Jr., and her sisters and their spouses, Mari and Victor Molina, Nellie and Juan Cantu, Maggie and Roy Cazares, Gladys Garza, Noemi Garza, Ruth Garza, and Esther and Slade Garza-Price; and WHEREAS, Elizabeth Garza has earned the utmost respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues alike, and she is most deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby commend Elizabeth Garza for her exceptional contributions to Texas schoolchildren and extend to her best wishes for continued success and fulfillment; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Garza as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
