R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An enduring marriage and rewarding family life are truly reasons for a celebration, and on June 17, 2005, Eliseo and Maria Garza of Edinburg are marking the happy occasion of their 43rd wedding anniversary; and WHEREAS, Joined in matrimony on June 17, 1962, Mr. and Mrs. Garza have nurtured a close and fulfilling relationship that is based on a solid foundation of mutual love, trust, and respect and serves as an inspiration for their circle of loved ones; and WHEREAS, The Garzas are the heart of a cherished family that includes one son, Eliseo, and eight daughters, Mari, Magdalena, Nereida, Gladys, Elizabeth, Noemi, Ruth, and Esther; they have embraced the myriad joys of grandparenting and are fortunate to be able to spend time with their beloved granddaughters, Alexandra and Gabriella, while the girls' mother, Elizabeth, is teaching school; and WHEREAS, Mr. Garza retired as an automobile mechanic, and now he and his wife enjoy ranching and growing corn, watermelons, and beans, and they continue to oversee property that they lease; and WHEREAS, For 43 years, this devoted pair have shared the blessings and challenges of marriage, and it is a pleasure to join their family and friends in honoring them at this special time in their life together; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Eliseo and Maria Garza on their 43rd wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Garza as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
