R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Ella Bouldin Women's Missionary Society of Houston is honoring the participants of the 4th Annual Three Score and Ten Senior Recognition Program with a reception on June 5, 2005; and WHEREAS, Recognizing the contributions to the missionary society by senior members, age 70 and older, this event also acknowledges the role they have played in imparting their wisdom and knowledge to the church's membership; and WHEREAS, The program encompasses five levels of participation, and the honorees include: first level members Horace Smith, Sallye Britton, Earnice Barton, Joyce Baldwin, Alfred Flanagan, Milton Evans, Mary Cornett, Carrie Burks, Marjorie Humphries, Helen Amey, Ann Sweet, Zelma Barton, Emmitt Curtis, and Lou Ledwith; second level silver members Clarice Johnson and Maud Jones; third level gold members Celestine Brantley, Emdella Lewis, Harold Reed, Harold Stovall, Edward Pipkin, Jean Bolden, Lonnie Henderson, Failure Henderson, Alene Henry, and Eddie Henry; and fourth level pinnacle members Bernice Bundage, Frankie Mays, George McGowan, Ida Cox, Carrie Davis, Massie Green, Irene Griggs, Carnie Johnson, Mary Alice Jordan, Mary Helen Reed, Venetia Reuben, Darlena Williams, Jessie Beeks, Estella Cheeks, Esther Graves, Frankie Mays, Thelma McCarthy, Gladys Lewis, Helen Thurston, Allene White, Manuel White, Marie Sanders, Marcellous Stevens, Jewell Houston, Zelma Barton, Creola Jenkins, Tommie Crawford, Elwyn Rucker, Madora Campbell, Esther Eldridge, Lorenza Barnes, Doris Harris, C.G. Hardy, Rev. Olan Hardy, Geneva Bilton, Sophia Moses, and Ruthie Stevens; the fifth and highest level of recognition will honor those who participate in the program for five years and will accord them lifetime inclusion in the hall of fame; and WHEREAS, The Three Score and Ten Senior Recognition Program appreciates the many ways elder Texans contribute to the Lone Star State, and it serves as a source of support, encouragement, and pleasure for members of society who deserve all the best life has to offer; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate the honorees of the 4th Annual Three Score and Ten Senior Recognition Program and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued fulfillment; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the Ella Bouldin Women's Missionary Society as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
