R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 100th birthday is truly cause for celebration, and on March 14, 2005, Lottie Davison marked this significant milestone in the company of her family and friends; and WHEREAS, Born on March 14, 1905, this native of the Lone Star State was raised in the town of Golden and remembers fondly the days of her youth, when life revolved around church, school, and the farm; and WHEREAS, She ultimately returned to her home in Texas, but Mrs. Davison has lived in exotic locales across the globe, with time spent in Saudi Arabia, Holland, Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Japan; and WHEREAS, This beloved woman has demonstrated a zest for life that is most admirable, and continues to drive her own car at the age of 100; through the years she has earned a special place in the hearts of all who know her, and it is indeed a pleasure to honor her at this time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Lottie Davison on her 100th birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mrs. Davison as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
