R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Abilene High School Choir is celebrating the 10th 
anniversary of Pure Gold; and
	WHEREAS, Pure Gold was started as an outside of school 
singing ensemble in 1993-1994, then became a class in the 1994-1995 
school year for 16 auditioned singers, and in 2000-2001 the group 
was cut back to 12 individuals; and
	WHEREAS, Mrs. Terri Godfrey started the group in her first 
year as Choir Director at Abilene High and has directed the group 
ever since; and
	WHEREAS, In 1998 they began having an annual show at the 
Historic Paramount Theatre; and
	WHEREAS, Each of the following individuals were chosen to 
participate in Pure Gold, including Lori Breed, Cassidy Cavazos, 
Brett Coe, Addie Davis, Luke Longacre, Jamie McDaniel, Heather 
Perry, Jessica Reese, Carrie Beth Rudolph, Ben Siburt, Raheem 
Twonsend, Bernie Waldman, Heather Watts, Natalie Brown, Amanda 
Curtis, Tyler Duff, Chad Kennedy, Bicky Lawson, Kelly Meyer, Jason 
Reale, John Richardson, Jennifer Smith, Bobby Collins, Sarah Craik, 
Tim Mills, Emili Panian, Tiffani Panian, Natalie Walker, April 
Green, Amber Green, Casey Kelley, Taylor Black, Travis Black, 
Jennifer Cooke, Joel Glover, Peter Hamilton, Jennifer Hartgraves, 
Lance Kelley, Helen King, Tyler Lawrence, Rebecca Lawson, Claire 
McKeever, Kayla Reeves, Ashleigh Conley, Joseph de Anda, Ashley

Hailey Chamness, Shane Huffman, Brenton Otis, Jay Reese, Linsey 
Holmes, Payton Jones, Braden Kehl, Mallory King, Adam Lott, J 
Mendl, Jennifer Rasco, Amy Slough, and Adam Tate; and
	WHEREAS, Each of these individuals were chosen to participate 
in this elite show choir; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby recognize the 10th anniversary of Pure Gold and 
congratulate each of the members above for participating in this 
outstanding group; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Abilene High School Choir, Abilene High School, 
and Terri Godfrey as an expression of high regard by the Texas House 
of Representatives.
