A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the provision on the Internet of forms and permit or
license information by state agencies.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 2054, Government Code, is
amended by adding Section 2054.132 to read as follows:
Sec. 2054.132. POSTING OF FORMS REQUIRED. Each state
agency shall make available on its Internet website each of its
forms used by the public.
SECTION 2. Subchapter I, Chapter 2054, Government Code, is
amended by adding Section 2054.272 to read as follows:
Sec. 2054.272. BUSINESS PERMITS AND LICENSES INTERNET
PORTAL. (a) A state agency that has jurisdiction over matters
related to occupational licenses, including a licensing entity of
this state, shall develop in cooperation with the authority a link
through the TexasOnline portal.
(b) The link shall provide streamlined access to each
occupational license listed on TexasOnline.
(c) The authority may not charge a fee to implement this
section.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
